23rd Wheel of Fate [Written/Action]

[Now that everyone seems to be back to normal and ν-13's had a little bit of time to readjust again... there's something she'd been meaning to do for a while. Around noon, she'll be leaving the apartment to head to the western lake, leaving a note about where she's heading on the table in her room. Until she's actually out of the village, she'll be attempting to avoid running anyone as much as possible. This doesn't change once she reaches the forest; in fact, once she's there, she seems more on guard than before, as if on the lookout for someone or something that might try to attack her.

When she finally reaches the lake, she'll sit down at the edge of the lake and take out her journal, writing a short, filtered message.]

...Tsubaki? Do you think we can continue our discussion now?

[She'll stay there at the lake until long after nightfall, so if one should choose to go there, they might spot the silver-haired Murakumo idling around, blankly gazing out at the water.

...Even after everything that's been happening these past few months, she still likes this area.]

[A few hours after finding her note, Nu will end up having a demon come join her. Because well, Yuber just has a hard time dealing with being in a building by himself (and with those cats) and to be honest, he and Nu haven't really talked much since he actually got his voice back.

He'll be saving himself a walk through the village though and teleport right out to the lake and then will go find Nu from there.]

[And just like with Tsubaki, he'll find her at the edge of the lake, still blankly staring out at the water.

...He'll probably have to speak up to get her attention. She seems a bit... absent-minded right now.]

[That's fine,once he sees her, he'll teleport so he's right by her side.] Missed being outdoors as much as I have?

[He has really, he's wanting to just go back to the desert, but he'd miss being around her as much.]

[And that definitely catches her attention, though while her blank expression quickly fades in favor of her usual playful smile, her gaze still remains focused on the water.]

Yeah. It really has been a while since I got to see this place, you know. [When was the last time she actually went out to to the western lake? More than two months ago, if she remembers right. Considering she practically used to live in this area, that's... a pretty long time.]

And some of that is my fault. [Though he knows part of why she's attached to the apartment now is those cats, and that is most definitely not his fault.] That wolf hasn't found you out here? [He's hoping Moro won't notice his presence. At least the lack of a trail of scent due to teleportation will help.]

[...That first part actually makes her smile falter for a brief moment, but soon enough, she's back to looking as cheerful as ever. If he's not paying close attention, chances are he likely won't even notice.]

Of course not. You know I wouldn't stay here if she managed to find me. [That's the main reason as to why she'd been hesitant to come here again, actually - she may be pretty strong, but that doesn't mean she's all too keen about the idea of possibly having to deal with Moro on her own, seeing as she knows how dangerous the giant wolf can be.]

I do think we need to clip her wings someday. [And he's going to go ahead and sit down next to her.] Now that things are more normal here we can make plans.

[That she has absolutely no objections to. That wolf deserves it. She won't say that out loud for the time being, however.]

Um, actually... there's something I've been thinking about. [It's just an idea that came to mind while she was stuck in the tunnels, but she figures it's probably worth mentioning.]

[He looks at her curiously.] Something? And what might this be?

Um, well... There's a lot of people here that would attack you if they saw you, right? [Considering what happened earlier this month combined with his reputation, it seems fairly likely to her. And that's... kind of problematic, frankly, at least from her point of view.]

Enough that I rarely need to attack any unprovoked to fulfill certain needs. [And that is why he preferred the desert. That would take care of the vast majority of those idiots.]

[That's... more or less the kind of answer she was expecting.]

Then... Wouldn't it be better if someone eliminated them? [It'd be better if he didn't have to worry about people like that, after all. Right? No need for hindrances that do nothing but try to attack him on sight. Not from her point of view, at least.]

[Except she probably doesn't know the actual reason why he attacks humans in the first place. That he doesn't exactly let out to the humans because he'd likely have even more of them attacking him on sight.] It would be better for a week. Then they come back in larger numbers.

[What annoys him the most is that the humans actually think killing him is right and just, but he kills someone who attacks him and he is evil. It just doesn't compute to the demon.]

[She doesn't, but she figures he probably has some reason for it. Even if that reason could really be anything from it simply being fun to something more important than that for all she knows.]

But... What if someone else eliminated them? They wouldn't go after you if that happened, right? [Not as long as they don't know if that person's actions have anything to do with him, anyway. They'd likely end up focusing on that individual instead.

...And that's pretty much the same thing that's been bothering her. Even she realizes by now that killing others is frowned upon, but then how come nobody sees anything wrong with someone getting rid of someone just because that person happens to be considered dangerous? There's not really any difference, is there?]

If you are considering it, you'd just end up being counted as being dangerous like me and be attacked on sight also. [And that's not something he wants happening no matter how strong she is.]

I know. I really don't mind that. [It's not like that'd be anything new for her, all things considered. And it's a risk she'll gladly take if she has to. Besides... she can't shake this feeling that there's likely already a few people that count her as dangerous. It's probably just a matter of time until more people decide to think that way of her regardless of what she does.

...Saying that she doesn't mind at all is a pretty blantant lie, though. She does mind; it's just something she's willing to deal with.]

Except I'd want to keep you safe so your efforts would be moot anyhow. [Because if she's wanting to protect him, her being attacked on sight often won't help because he'll want to protect her and is perfectly willing to die so she's safe.]

You really don't need to worry about that. They can't kill me. [She's very, very confident about that, even. And anything that doesn't kill her, she'll recover from fairly quickly as long as she uses her Azure Grimoire to speed the healing process up. And there's no point in not using it when it has such a beneficial effect on her.]

And I said that I wouldn't let them do anything to you too, you know. [Even if she said that back during that experiment, it's not like she ever took it back. And while she might've failed that promise once by now, she has no intention of letting it happen again anytime soon.]

They aren't supposed to be able to kill me either, we saw that is not true. [Though to be honest, Yuber is suspecting Malnosso interference there.] I don't care what happens to me, just what happens to you.

[...Aww, how sweet. Unfortunately... her own opinion is pretty much the exact opposite of what he just said.]

I know they can't kill me. You really don't have to worry about that. [She has a very good reason for thinking that no less - it's just not something she wants to bring up. Mostly because it's... complicated, especially for someone not from her world.]

[Hey, it wasn't meant to be sweet, it's just a normal sentiment for a demon to a female he has mated with. It may have been an experiment that caused it, but he still is holding himself to that. Her life means more than his.]

Even if the Malnosso interfere and make it possible? That is what I think happened. They can remove any power you might have to prevent death and it can happen. [Remember, they gave him human weaknesses, another thing that should be completely impossible under normal circumstances. Luceti is a weird place where the impossible can happen.]

[It still sounds sweet, though, even if it wasn't meant to be.

...And that question? That actually prompts a smile from the Murakumo, strangely enough.]

Don't worry~ They definitely won't be able to do that. [It's not a power per se, after all. Not to mention that if they really wanted to get rid of the reason she believe nobody can kill her, then they'd have to deal with someone else, too. That should complicate things for them.]

They made me have human weaknesses for a time. I don't think we should underestimate them. And that doesn't mean I'm going to accept you going and killing everyone who hates me for existing. [He's definitely frowning at that idea. Nu may be powerful, but she can't take the whole village most likely.]

I'm not underestimating them. I know they can't do that. [Okay, she's not 100% certain, but she highly, highly doubts that they would be able to do something about the reason she doesn't think anyone here would be able to kill her.

...And yes, she's blantantly ignoring that other comment. She's pretty set on this even if he's objecting to her plan. She's... being awfully stubborn about this, to say the least.]

And how do you know this? [Hell, before all this, he would have said there was no way he could be killed either, but the impossible did happen.] Even if you can't be killed, that isn't going to stop me from wanting to keep you safe.
