23rd Wheel of Fate [Written/Action]

[Now that everyone seems to be back to normal and ν-13's had a little bit of time to readjust again... there's something she'd been meaning to do for a while. Around noon, she'll be leaving the apartment to head to the western lake, leaving a note about where she's heading on the table in her room. Until she's actually out of the village, she'll be attempting to avoid running anyone as much as possible. This doesn't change once she reaches the forest; in fact, once she's there, she seems more on guard than before, as if on the lookout for someone or something that might try to attack her.

When she finally reaches the lake, she'll sit down at the edge of the lake and take out her journal, writing a short, filtered message.]

...Tsubaki? Do you think we can continue our discussion now?

[She'll stay there at the lake until long after nightfall, so if one should choose to go there, they might spot the silver-haired Murakumo idling around, blankly gazing out at the water.

...Even after everything that's been happening these past few months, she still likes this area.]

[It isn't long before Tsubaki checks her journal and becomes aware of the message. She's quick to reply, too. It's been a while since she had the opportunity to deal with any sort of ~injustice~]

Of course, Nu.

But how are you feeling? Did you manage to get out of the tunnels without too much trouble?

[Minor headaches that are probably caused by the fact she's still not quite used to not being a ghost anymore aside...]

I'm fine. Ted and Thirteen helped me. [Her armor did result in that taking a bit longer than it would've otherwise, but hey. She made it out of the tunnels in the end, so...]

Um... Do you think you could come to the western lake, Tsubaki? [She'd... really rather have that discussion face-to-face this time, if possible.]

Yeah. [She doesn't really trust them either, but that's likely for a different reason. Doesn't seem to stop her from writing down notes in private entries, though.]

[Tsubaki nods and closes the journal. Before she leaves her room the thought crosses her mind that perhaps she should tell one of her house mates where she's going, but after stopping and thinking it over for a while, she decides not to. In some way, it would be like admitting that she doesn't entirely trust Nu, and though that is in fact the case, Tsubaki still feels a little bad about it.

She makes her way over to the lake, keeping a brisk pace. Hellooooo? Any Murakumos out here?]

[Once Tsubaki is close enough to the lake, she'll probably notice the silver-haired Murakumo sitting at its edge, simply staring out at the water, her expression fairly blank. Nothing out of the ordinary for her, really, even if it is a fairly stark contrast to the smile she'd been putting up while talking to her over the journals.

...Tsubaki might have to speak up to get her attention, though. It certainly couldn't hurt, at least.]

[No kidding. She sure as hell doesn't want to startle Nu, so will indeed speak up.]

[Almost immediately after Tsubaki speaks up, ν-13 gets up and turns to look at her, and in a fraction of a second, that blank expression is replaced with a smile once again. Even when she speaks up, her tone seems pretty cheery.]

...I think there's something I need to tell you, Tsubaki~ [Considering the subject they were going to discuss, the cheerful tone seems a bit out of place. Then again... it's ν-13. She's a strange one sometimes.]

[It definitely sounds out of place. Wasn't this about discrimination and mob violence? Or is this one of those 'talking about bad news in a good way so it doesn't sound so bad' kind of things?

[Hey, guess who's by the lake fishing? Ted's taking a break from his New Feather hunting in lieu of relaxing by the lake... mostly because he's still not used to it. He's not paying much attention for now though, just enjoying this activity.]

[...Huh. She didn't expect anyone else to be here at the lake, but... well, it's Ted. It's not like she minds him of all people being here.

That doesn't mean she's going to do anything to get his attention right now, however. Instead, she simply opts to watch him fish from a distance for the time being.]

[Well, until he does catch something, she'll just stand over here and watch. No point in interrupting him while he's focused on fishing, after all.]

[It takes a while then. But eventually, a tug can be seen on the line, and soon enough Ted's practically wrestled the fish out of the water triumphantly.] Looks like I have dinner now.

[Ah, he caught something! It took a while, sure, but he did~ ♪

...That doesn't mean she's going to say anything just yet, though. If he decides to look around, however, he'll probably be able to notice her.]

[He turns around for a moment to lay the fish next to the rest of his catch, when he notices something odd at the corner of his eye. He instinctively looked up, spotting Nu and blinking in surprise.] Nu?

Affirmative. [Compared to how she normally sounds when using her mechanic tone, she sounds a little bit... cheerier, for some reason.

She'll walk over to Ted after saying that - no point in staying at a distance if he's noticed her, after all.]

[A few hours after finding her note, Nu will end up having a demon come join her. Because well, Yuber just has a hard time dealing with being in a building by himself (and with those cats) and to be honest, he and Nu haven't really talked much since he actually got his voice back.

He'll be saving himself a walk through the village though and teleport right out to the lake and then will go find Nu from there.]

[And just like with Tsubaki, he'll find her at the edge of the lake, still blankly staring out at the water.

...He'll probably have to speak up to get her attention. She seems a bit... absent-minded right now.]

[That's fine,once he sees her, he'll teleport so he's right by her side.] Missed being outdoors as much as I have?

[He has really, he's wanting to just go back to the desert, but he'd miss being around her as much.]

[And that definitely catches her attention, though while her blank expression quickly fades in favor of her usual playful smile, her gaze still remains focused on the water.]

Yeah. It really has been a while since I got to see this place, you know. [When was the last time she actually went out to to the western lake? More than two months ago, if she remembers right. Considering she practically used to live in this area, that's... a pretty long time.]

And some of that is my fault. [Though he knows part of why she's attached to the apartment now is those cats, and that is most definitely not his fault.] That wolf hasn't found you out here? [He's hoping Moro won't notice his presence. At least the lack of a trail of scent due to teleportation will help.]

[...That first part actually makes her smile falter for a brief moment, but soon enough, she's back to looking as cheerful as ever. If he's not paying close attention, chances are he likely won't even notice.]

Of course not. You know I wouldn't stay here if she managed to find me. [That's the main reason as to why she'd been hesitant to come here again, actually - she may be pretty strong, but that doesn't mean she's all too keen about the idea of possibly having to deal with Moro on her own, seeing as she knows how dangerous the giant wolf can be.]

I do think we need to clip her wings someday. [And he's going to go ahead and sit down next to her.] Now that things are more normal here we can make plans.

[That she has absolutely no objections to. That wolf deserves it. She won't say that out loud for the time being, however.]

Um, actually... there's something I've been thinking about. [It's just an idea that came to mind while she was stuck in the tunnels, but she figures it's probably worth mentioning.]
