39th Wheel of Fate [Action]
[Those passing through the plaza today might find themselves noticing something rather... odd placed near the fountain.
Apparently, someone - presumably the Malnosso - has decided to place a treasure chest next to the fountain. And not just any: this particular treasure chest seems to be large enough that it could hold quite the large amount of treasure. In fact, it's big enough that it wouldn't be hard for an adult to hide in there.
Those who decide to investigate the chest might notice something a little peculiar about it, however. Not only does it seem to lack a lock, but if one listens closely while near it, they might just be able to pick up the faint sound of breathing coming from inside the chest, as if whatever were in there is, in fact, alive... and likely asleep, judging from how slow the breathing is.
Maybe someone should investigate? Of course, whatever or whoever is within the chest could be dangerous, so perhaps it'd be best to tread with caution if one decides to check just what is contained in it.]
[ooc: Nu herself is not currently affected by the event, but since treasure does tend to appear in some tales, feel free to play around with that, if you'd like!]

As far as I have been able to tell, everyone here has been placed in roles of stories. The Malnosso seem to be especially fond of giving males the roles of princesses. I can assure you this was not my choice of clothing, but if I attempt to remove the dress and wig they come right back.
[He's seen others, and far more awful than his own. His only issue is how believable it is until he speaks.]
[Action]
Placed in roles... with the appropriate costumes. Not the first time the Malnosso tried something like that. As long as people don't start believing they lived here their whole life again...
...bad thought train, that. If Leonhardt is watching carefully enough, he might notice ν-13's expression falter momentarily. It doesn't take long until it's back to being more or less devoid of emotion, however, and she glances at his hair - or more specifically, the wig - for a moment, then looks directly at him again.]
...Truncating the wig is suggested. [Her tone remains as deadpan as usual as she says that. ...What? If he can't seem to remove the wig and his hair normally isn't that length, then the logical thing to do is to try to shorten the wig itself, isn't it?]
[Action]
Though really, the suggestion isn't bad, except for the fact that the wig isn't the huge issue here. Men can have long hair and he's fine with it, though slightly annoyed. It's the frilly and girly dress.]
The dress is the problem. Even with my hair looking as it should and assuming it doesn't just go back the way it was after cutting it, I'd still be dressed as a princess.
[And enough of that annoying subject. He'll get rather chatty if allowed to at the sheer annoyance of this.] A far more important question, are you all right having been cooped up in that chest?
[Action]
The question earns a fairly quick response from her this time.]
...All systems within normal operating parameters. [In other words, she's pretty much fine. If Leonhardt's particularly observant right now, he might notice a carmine-colored stain on her right glove, but there don't seem to be any visible injuries on her - nor is she displaying any other potentially worrying symptoms, for that matter.]
[Action]
But anyway, that response. It takes him a moment to figure out what it's supposed to mean, but it seems like a strange way to say she's fine. But he notices the glove pretty quick.] Then what is on the glove is not yours then? Or nothing to worry about?
[And strangely, he's not in the least bit disturbed by it, more concerned. That compassion is definitely showing itself, though likely also accentuated a bit more by the role he's stuck in since Cecilia is a caring person and all.]
[Action]
This time, she doesn't answer immediately, instead looking down at said glove for a moment first. ...That's still there, huh?]
...Irrelevant. [In other words, it's nothing that ought to be a cause for concern. There's no actual injury there, just that stain, so there's probably no need for anyone to worry about it.]
[Action]
So, subject change. It would be good to know how she even got there.] Might I inquire as to how you found yourself in a treasure chest, of all things?
[Action]
...It's probably not hard to guess that the Malnosso were most likely the ones responsible, though, considering what's curently going on and that people do tend to appear in the village in strange ways sometimes, both when first arriving and when returning from a kidnapping.]
[Action]
It is likely best to assume the Malnosso then. That seems to be a logical explanation for anything strange in this place.
Do you need any further assistance or shall I leave you to find your way home?
[At least he's assuming she's not a new arrival since she isn't in New Feather clothes.]
[Action]
That said, that question prompts little more than yet another blank look.]
Assistance is... not required. [She can get home just fine. She's fine, the village seems to be the same as usual judging from what she can tell right now, and as long as she's quick, it shouldn't be too dangerous to head back on her own.]
[Action]
Then I shall not stay any longer if I am not needed. I bid you farewell and do hope you get back to your residence safely.
[And he's about to walk off, but it seems he's gotten his foot caught up in the numerous frills and skirts this outfit has. It will take a moment while he detangles it and tries to prevent himself from ending up on the ground. Really, Joshua did make walking in this look far too easy.]
[Action]
She won't be responding to Leonhardt this time. Rather, once he attempts to walk off, she'll slowly hover out of the chest, prepared to start heading back to her own apartment. If he's still paying attention, Leonhardt will probably be able to witness that.
...That's not exactly a common ability, is it?]
[Action]
So he does catch her hovering out of the chest from the corner of his eye and starts looking in that direction as he detangles himself from the dress.
And because now he's not paying nearly as much attention to the effort of detangling himself, he overdoes it a bit more than needed and causes part of the skirt to flip over his head.
Thankfully the Malnosso weren't too accurate and he's not wearing female undergarments to go with this outfit and he had the decency to wear something under the skirt just in case something like this happened. She'll catch on real fast that he's the type of guy to prefer boxers and then he'll at least quickly have the skirt back where it should be.]
I do not think I will ever understand how a woman can walk in this and make it look so effortless.
[Action]
...She kind of agrees with his comment. If it weren't for her ability to hover, she couldn't imagine maneuvering around in that kind of outfit, honestly. How do some people make that seem so... simple?]
[Action]
And of course, as he was removing the skirt from his head, the wig flew off too. Though yeah, it went back quickly enough quickly there since the Malnosso aren't letting him out of this that easily. But it does give Nu a quick look at what his more normal appearance is and she'll more easily be able to recognize him after this.] My deepest apologies for such an inappropriate display to a lady such as yourself. I do not seem to have been granted the ability to move in this costume I was given.
[And now that he's no longer caught up in the skirt, he can truly leave.] I bid you adieu and do hope we can meet again when things are back to normal.
[Because despite the bad meeting with an experiment running, he does find Nu to be very interesting and wants to learn more of her.]
[Action]
The apology earns him a mildly confused look, but she won't say anything in response. Why is he even bothering to apologize? This hardly requires an apology, and besides, it's the experiment's fault, if anything. But whatever. She'll just let him leave.
..."Hope we can meet again"...?]
