34th Wheel of Fate [Accidental Voice]

[The feed starts off rather... abrupt, as if the journal started recording on its own. Water can be heard flowing in the background, but most of that is drowned out by a deadpan, mechanical-sounding female voice.]

[She falls silent for about a minute, but eventually, she speaks up again.]

System check results... Internal regulatory systems within normal parameters. Damage report... minimal damage. Memory bank... 99.53 % accessible.

...? [Wait... shouldn't that be 100%? There shouldn't be a portion of her memory that she can't access...]

Searching for cause of inaccessibility... Searching... Searching... Searching... [And with that, she falls silent, as if contemplating what's causing this issue.

...If the fact that the feed is still going after several minutes without her speaking up again is any indication, she's having a little bit of trouble finding the cause.]

[He waits til she doesn't respond for a bit, because most of that doesn't sound like an immediate concern.]

What's going on? Something with your memory?

[...The journal switched on again...? Um.]

[Well, she didn't really mean for him to hear that, but...]

Um... It's really not important. My memory's fine! [Aside from the fact there's still two days missing from back in... what, November? That's really not bothering her as much as it should at the moment, though, strangely enough.]

Then why the not one hundred percent number?

I guess I forgot something~ [Judging from her tone... She's definitely not too concerned about that right now.

Um... You're not worried about that, right?

Of course I'd worry if there was something wrong. [Sheesh, Nu, isn't that like obvious?]

[Not really. It's not much of a cause for concern, in her opinion... although it is kind of weird. But...]

...Really? [Even if she doesn't think it's worrisome, she's awfully happy to hear him say something like that.

...Which probably shows in her tone, actually. At the very least, she sounds pleasantly surprised by that answer.]

Of course. Anything like that could cause a weakness the humans could use against you and I don't want you getting hurt.

[Okay, that earns him a small giggle.]

Geez... You definitely don't have to worry about that.

[She appreciates it, though. She really, really does.

I still will anyhow. But anyway, where are you?

Um... I'm at the western river. [And not too far away from the village, actually. As much as she'd prefer to go to the lake, with Moro around, wandering off that far on her own's a little too risky.]

[Good, closer to the village isn't that risky since Moro rarely comes close to the village and won't destroy the human habitations.]

I'll be there shortly.

[And he will be teleporting there in a few moments.]

[Exactly. And this area's still kind of nice, even if she does prefer the lake.]

All right~ [She's just going to close her journal and wait until he gets there, then.]

[And a minute or two later he shows up at her location. Gotta love that teleporting and knowing Luceti well enough to find someone that quick.]

[It doesn't take long for her to notice him once he shows up. And when she does? He'll find himself greeted with what can really only be described as a rather forceful tackle hug. Forceful enough that it might just make him stumble back a little if he didn't expect it, anyway.

Someone's... happy to see him, to say the least. Even if it hasn't exactly been long since they last saw each other in person.]

[No, he's actually not expecting it, because it's not like Nu to act like that. Yuber, however, is not going to object in the least bit and hug her in return.]

[Hey, her being a bit clingy and affectionate is normal. Just... not usually to the point where she'd tackle hug him on sight. But regardless of that, she's certainly not going to object to him returning the hug, either.

She'd probably be content to just stay like this, really.]

[...Still, after a few moments, she'll look up at him, smiling... rather calmly.]

You know... It's been a really long time since we've been outside the village together. [Almost three months certainly seems like a long time to her right now. Especially considering neither of them actually likes staying there particularly much...]

[That's fine by him, she can stay there as long as she wants.]

It has. We should do it more often though it seems the good locations are becoming fewer and fewer.

[Okay, that dampened her mood a bit.]

...Yeah. And there's some that are definitely too dangerous for us to stay at, too. [Like the western lake. As much as she likes that area, with Moro around... it's just too dangerous to remain there for long.]

The hotsprings might not be a bad location to visit from time to time. It's water, so you'd enjoy that and no idiot wolf and few humans. Or we could see that ocean that took over the desert.

[Wait. Wait wait wait wait wait. Did... did he just say...]

[...Hot springs?]

Really? You really think we can go to the hot springs together~?

[She sounds far, far, far too happy to hear that. Which... is likely because the past two times she's been there, she couldn't actually enjoy her stay there properly, really. Too many people there the first time and the second time she ended up there, that teleportation experiment was going on... not to mention that she wasn't really prepared for a stay at the hot springs because she ended up there thanks to that experiment.]

[Yeah, the last time was definitely not ideal, also because Tsubaki was there.]

I think so. If there are any humans there, we'll just kill them.

[Yep, there's that too. It'll be much nicer if it's just the two of them.]

Then... It'll only be the two of us, right~?

[She's perfectly fine with possibly having to kill someone just for the sake of some privacy, if her cheerful tone is any indication. Either that or she's just... far too happy about this idea to even pay attention to that bit. One of the two.]

Well, the two of us and some dead humans. [And no, he doesn't mind killing a few humans for privacy. They'll learn quickly then at least.]

[ν-13... kind of stopped paying attention after "the two of us." That's pretty much all she wanted to hear - as evident by the fact she's giggling cheerfully in response.]

All right, then. We'll definitely have to go there together!

[She's practically beaming as she says that. Just the two of them at the hot springs together, with nobody to bother them... It just sounds so romantic that she can't help but to look forward to this idea.]

I could take us now unless you need to get anything.

Really? You'd really do that?

[Going there right now would be perfectly fine by her. And she can't really think of anything she nee—]

[—waaaait a minute.]

Ah, but... Can we go to the clothing store first?

[It... probably wouldn't hurt to pick up a swimsuit of some sort. Just in case someone else shows up. It never hurts to take precautions, right?]

[Bah, he'd make sure no one saw her naked. That's all for him in his own opinion. But not like he can argue with her.]

Fine. Should we leave now then?

[Hey, if there was absolutely no risk of anyone else showing up, ν-13 probably wouldn't care. It's just that there are some things she doesn't want most people to see. Like the mark on her collarbone. So... no harm in minimizing the risk of that happening, right?]

All right~ [She'll try to be quick, at least. She is looking forward to this, after all, so she might as well try not to delay it too much.]

[And he will go ahead and teleport them over to the clothing store. Not inside it, but very close by and where no one should see them.

He'll be waiting outside for you, Nu. He's not really feeling like going inside.]

[He won't have to wait long, fortunately. Once he teleports the two of them to near clothing store, she'll quickly wander off into the store itself.

It shouldn't take her much longer than ten minutes - if not less than that - to return again, smiling cheerfully and carrying a small bag with her. She... pretty much just grabbed the first thing she found that 1. covered her collarbone and 2. was in a bearable color, really.]

[Ten minutes was long enough to make him a bit impatient though. He's trying not to show it, but is quite relieved when she comes out with a bag.]
